A common approach at Nubank is to create long-term visions for complex problems. These visions are not fully tested or implemented, but once approved, they serve as a map of features that are added to the roadmap throughout the quarter.
The Problem
The marketplace vision started with a simple pain point:
1 — The app’s premium area was too crowded, and every team competed for that space.
2 — There was no dedicated place to bring all the products together.
This created visual clutter in the first layer of navigation, operational costs, and difficulty for users in finding products they might need but did not yet know they needed.
The Solution
Initially, the goal was to create a space where users could access any product in the portfolio: a simple list of stacked products.
Later, I suggested that this space could also generate interest in the products available there, reducing the pressure on the app’s home screen and driving cross-sell.
